Random Facts About Me

Hiya people!
It’s been a while I did a random facts post so here we go. Yess! I love to talk about myself. I’m conceited like that. ^_^

I love to read. I could read for days. Just put me in a library filled with books of my favourite authors.

I love to write and create content. Lemme tell you a secret; often times I strive to write an average of 20 posts every month. Sometimes I surpasses it other times I struggle with it probably because of lack of inspiration and whatnot. But on a good day I love to think about the most random things and write about it.

I love to wear and apply makeup. *coversface* I hope that counts. I have tons of books on makeup. Although I still need to hone my skills, perfect it, become a pro and maybe train others.

I love to photograph. I can’t imagine anyone not loving the splendor of photography. In the a couple of years I’ll be a Pro. :D. Watch this space..

I love to research even though it could be quite overwhelming sometimes especially when I’m doing it consecutively.

I used to love knitting. It’s been a whillle. Mufflers and the rest.

I’m a talker. I think I’ve mellowed a bit now. I’ve learnt how to listen more, and talk less. Like a friend of mine said, I’m become somewhat reserved and I agree with him. All the convo goes on in my head.

I used to have a phobia for 3rd Mainland Bridge. Yeahh. I thought I was weird until someone on BellaNaija made the same comment. But I think I’ve overcome that especially since I’ve been on the island a lot this past month.

I also have a phobia for spirogyra and green things. I get irritated easily.

I cry over the most random things. The other day, I was going through a wedding on Bella Naija and before I knew it, I was all teary. Same thing happens with music and movies. Infact that one is the worst. Especially those ones that have happy endings. I can’t remember now, there was a scene(s) that touched me in Fast 6. Same with City Hunter. That one was a different story entirely.. You’ll think I was part of the cast. I probably cried all through. Yeah. Can you imagine? Smh. LOL. I guess I’m a very emotional person but isn’t everyone? No? Nvm. LOL

Alright. These are the few I can remember now.

QOTD: On Life

“This life is what you make it. No matter what,
you’re going to mess up sometimes, it’s a universal
truth. But the good part is you get to decide how
you’re going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends
– they’ll act like it anyway. But just remember, some
come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything – they’re your true best friends.
Don’t let go of them. Also remember, sisters make
the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well,
they’ll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it,
most of them – actually pretty much all of them are
going to break your heart, but you can’t give up because if you give up, you’ll never find your
soulmate. You’ll never find that half who makes you
whole and that goes for everything. Just because
you fail once, doesn’t mean you’re gonna fail at
everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always,
always, always believe in yourself, because if you don’t, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head
high, keep your chin up, and most importantly,
keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and
there’s so much to smile about.”

On Health,Food and Cravings.

For as long as I can remember I haven’t had issues with my health except for the bi-monthly malaria which is an norm here in Nigeria. I haven’t had any serious illness. Dysentry has been the height of it all. Sometimes I wonder what kind of immunity I have. I’ve never had measles , chicken pox and all those deadly diseases we were warned against in Biology class. Well, I think I’m just blessed with divine health. That’s the only explanation because I can’t remember the last time I was admitted into a hospital. I’ve only had one major accident which happened in 1998 and ever since then..nada!

Lately my cravings has been on a hike! Coke has suddenly become kyptonite to me except on those very rare occasions. Now it’s yogurt. Hollandia Strawberry Yogurt precisely. I have no idea where that came from. I used to dislike yogurt a lot.. Now I need to take at least one pack a day even when I’m dead broke. I reserve a particular amount somewhere and I can’t take more than a particular quantity at a time or else I’d throw up! Other times it’s Viju Chocolate. Sigh.
I’ve also been skipping dinner a lot. Like I’m not just hungry. Some times I just sleep on an empty stomach if I’m too lazy to get yogurt. Need I forget my cookies consumption. it’s incredible. I don’t understand. Really. This things used to irritate me. PMS maybe? No? Sigh. I’m so happy, cake is not in close proximity to my house. I wonder what would have happened.

I’m really trying to understand these changes going on in my body. Spicy foods are still a no-no. Infact it has almost become an issue in my house. Sometimes when I cook to my taste with very little amount of spices, there’s a clash. Some people want this, others want that and it’s crazy. It sort of makes me feel like an old woman. LOL.

Anyways I’m grateful for good health even when it looks serious, it’s barely serious. As for my cravings, it will pass. Infact it needs to pass, FAST! How can someone just crave foods with raisins or milk and not desire good food. Smh.

Always and Forever.

A couple of weeks ago, i won a giveaway on The Mane Captain and the package arrived a few days ago.

I actually won a $25 Gift certificate and had the option of choosing from an indigenous online store based in Toronto.

So i picked this Proudly Nigerian Benjamin Buttons neck piece and had it delivered to me courtesy Tols Creations

Lovely right? No? You’re kidding! LOL.

I’m still thinking of where to wear it to since I’m not really the outdoor type.

Anyways Special Thanks to The Mane Captain.
