It is important for us to avoid grumbling, arguing, and complaining. These things show an unwillingness to be satisfied, or perhaps a willingness to emphasize the negative. People who grumble, argue, and complain all the time have difficulty seeing or appreciating the positive aspects of their lives. Negativity breeds negativity.
In Christ we view the future with hope and trust. We understand that He owns our future. It is His wish to fill us with positive thoughts about our relationship with Him and hope for living in eternity with Him. Grumbling or complaining is not the way to achieve peace of mind.
